About Offshore Artistry
Offshore Artistry: Handmade Charcuterie Boards with a Marine Twist
Offshore Artistry is a unique business that combines the art of hardwood charcuterie boards with the beauty of marine life to create nautical hardwood charcuterie board Founded by a multiple amputee who overcame adversity by using her craft skills as a source of income and joy.
The founder of Offshore Artistry lost the majority of her fingers and leg in a traumatic event. During her recovery her physical therapist encouraged her to improve her fine motor skills. Having crafted previously, she explored several options but found them lacking. Her father, a hobby woodworker had created hardwood charcuterie boards during the covid era. She found these boards beautiful but felt they needed something extra to make them truly special and unique. Being a third generation Floridian, she grew up with the love of the sea and its inhabitants. Father and daughter collaborated and Offshore Artistry was born.
Carving, sanding and epoxy resin filling on her dad’s beautiful boards was the perfect vehicle for her emotional and physical recovery. What the duo started as a hobby became a small business when people saw their boards and wanted to custom order one.
Offshore Artistry now offers you an opportunity to create a new tradition. These gorgeous boards created to order can also be customized with your name, special date or business logo. In the past families honored their guests by using their best China and silver. Today, you can serve your loved ones from your heirloom board that will last for generations when properly cared for.
Our boards are not only functional but also a piece of art. Our nautical cutting boards are made by hand from high quality hardwood such as maple cherry and walnut. These boards are carved then strategically inlayed with food safe epoxy resin to create the 3D illusion of marine life. Some of our poplar designs include Mahi Mahi, sea turtle, hogfish, marlin, sailfish, mermaid and octopus.
